A Free College Education for All?
“A (nearly) free college education for everybody is not only possible, but likely. But it will be a bare-bones education, and many students will want to pay for something more. Here is one possibility: College faculty won’t get paid much for teaching, but they can still earn a living as tutors, research mentors, coaches, team-leaders, advisers, counselors. These skills cannot be computerized and students will pay for them.”
PowerProfs has kicked around some of these ideas in the past. We do agree with the last statement and see this as a potential future avenue for us. Thoughts?
